Satan’s tares cannot defeat those who are the offspring of Jesus Christ and love God with God’s actual love. Satan is defeated by God’s love — every time! Hallelujah!

“A Word for the Wheat”

Read Matthew 7:24-30 and 36-42.

— Christ sowed wheat — good seed (His offspring).

— The devil came while we weren’t looking and sowed tares — bad seed (his offspring).

–They look like Christ’s offspring, until almost harvest time (tares/darnel are weeds that look like wheat when they are young).

— The devil’s offspring are among, together with, right in the midst of (3319) Christ’s offspring.

— What? Aren’t tares just in the world outside the church?

— They are in the church,
right in the midst of Christ’s offspring,
so close that to pull up the tare
might also pull up the wheat next to it.
Too close to be just “the world.”

— When it’s almost harvest time, the fruit of the tare and the fruit of the wheat are seen, and they NO LONGER look alike. (Galatians 5:19-23)

— Those working in the harvest fields ask the Lord if He wants them to pull the tares up.

— No. The two are so close together, so tightly planted, so physically near, you may pull up the wheat by mistake. (Closeness the issue here, not a weak-rooted wheat plant.)

— Allow both to grow until the harvest. I’ll send My angels, and they’ll gather up the tares and throw them in the fire. (See also Matthew 13:41, 13:48 which pertain to His judgment of the wicked)

Why is this “A Word to the Wheat”?

So we may understand the outworking of:

Romans 8:28   And we know that  God causes  all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are  called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:31    What then shall we say to these things?  If God is for us, who is against us?

The Lord will use the presence of the tares,
which the devil meant for evil.
He will use them for the good of those who love God.

Satan’s tares cannot defeat those who are the offspring of Jesus Christ and love God with God’s actual love. Satan is defeated by God’s love — every time! Hallelujah!

Tares in the church
will not defeat the true church,
the ones who are Christ’s offspring.
God is for us. Who can be against us?

In the end,
the chaff (and the tares)
will be burned up.

Matthew 3:11 “As for me,  I baptize you  with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals;  He will baptize you  with the Holy Spirit and fire.  12 “His  winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will  gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the  chaff with  unquenchable fire.”

He’ll baptize His wheat with the Holy Spirit and fire
and she’ll be ablaze for Him,
filled with God’s wisdom and power and love —
ESSENTIAL in her dealings with the tares!

He’ll thoroughly clear HIS threshing floor.
He’ll winnow in His church.
He’ll separate wheat from chaff (again, closeness of proximity),
and the chaff goes into unquenchable fire,
like the tares.

It’s like the sheep and the goats (Matthew 25:31-46).
Both are part of the same flock.
Yes, He speaks of the nations,
but I believe He means all the peoples,
including the tares in the church.

The tares and chaff and goats all face eternal fire:

To the sheep — “Now, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34).

To the goats — “Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41).

It’s like the true Vine and the branches (John 15:1ff).
Some bear fruit,
some do not.
Some are open to receive His life-giving sap,
and some are not.

The ones that don’t bear His fruit
are cut off the vine,
and thrown into the fire.

Just as the fruit reveals the tares among the wheat at harvest time,
the lack of fruit on some branches
reveal those who don’t abide (tares) in the church.
The end of the tares, the chaff, the branches is burning.

It’s like the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1ff)
They’re ALL waiting for the Bridegroom.
But the foolish have no oil.
They do not have the Holy Spirit,
only oil someone else has given them (external only!).
He never, ever knew them.
Just as in Matthew 7:23,
they are lawless ones.

Lord, what good can come of tares
and chaff
and foolish virgins and
unfruitful branches in the church?

Paul says to the church at Corinth:

1Corinthians 11:18 For, in the first place, when you come together  as a church, I hear that   divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it.  19 For there  must also be factions [false teaching] among you,  so that those who are approved may become  evident among you.

And John says:

1John 2:19  They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out,  so that  it would be shown that they all are not of us.

The Lord says, “The devil’s work is no surprise to Me.
“I will take the his work, and turn it to good.”

You ask Me, “What good can come from tares in the church?”

These sons and daughters of the devil
will test you, My true church.

And as you are tested,
you will need to increase and strengthen your faith,
your complete reliance on Me.

The ones who are approved (as Paul says)
the ones who are truly Mine,
will be made evident
by way of the troubles and strife
brought on by the sons and daughters of the devil.

O wheat of Mine,
You will learn the way in which My character needs to be more fully formed in you,
as you deal with the devil’s offspring among you.
You will come to My Father to mold and shape You,
to prune you to make you more fruitful,
to make you more and more Christlike in character (2 Cor 3:18).

You must keep the tares in check,
you must not let them occupy leadership positions.
You must have discernment from Me!

You must discipline the tares when they sin,
just as you must discipline infants in Christ when THEY sin.
You must have wisdom from Me!

You must have wisdom and discernment
by being filled with My Spirit, dear offspring of Mine!

You must be filled with God’s actual love,
for only His love will quench and negate
the devil’s activity in the church,
through his tares.

If you simply complain
and feel hurt and withdraw altogether from My Body, the Church,
it becomes obvious
that you have not yet died and fallen to the ground,
for you are still concerned for yourself.

Have the same mind which is in Me (Philippians 2:5). Empty yourselves of your glory — take no account for yourselves! (These words will always anger the tares among you.)

O, complaining wheat, My offspring,
die so I may live in you.
Be crucified with Me
so nothing done by the tares,
the fruitless branches,
the foolish virgins,
the goats,
will disturb you!

John 12:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you,  unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”

Die and you will bear much fruit!
Be as the wheat among you
who have been crucified with Me.
Follow them as they follow Me.

And the Lord has a word for the tares who teach and preach (from Jeremiah 23:28-29):

Prophesy falsely,
relate YOUR dream.
It is straw to Me, it is the fruit of tares,
and it profits My people nothing.
At the harvest, My angels will gather you,
and you will be eternally punished.

The true church, My offspring,
will run from you.
They always run from the voice of strangers:

John 10:5 “A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know  the voice of strangers.”

Let him who has MY word speak MY truth.
It is grain, the fruit of wheat,
what wheat speaks to wheat.

It is the word of righteousness (Hebrews 5:14).
which nourishes My wheat,
and encourages further growth!

O Church,
I will test you by way of the devil’s tares.

I will turn the devil’s work to good.
I will work all things for the good of you who love Me.

O church,
I will bring you to a place
where you all are crucified with Me,
where you give up your rights to yourself —
just as I did —
for My Father’s glory!

Then you will simply do the Father’s will,
regardless of what the tares say and do to you —
just as I did —
for My Father’s glory!
